Linda Anegawa MD, MS, FACP
After receiving her M.D. from the University of Pennsylvania, Dr. Anegawa completed her Internship and Residency in Internal Medicine at Stanford University School of Medicine. She is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, and has since accumulated over a decade of clinical experience in a variety of private practice and multispecialty clinical settings. Dr. Anegawa views her patients in a holistic context, emphasizing healthy lifestyles, fitness and weight management to treat chronic pain and disease. She is a member of the American College of Sports Medicine, the American Academy of Pain Management, The Obesity Society, and The American College of Bariatric Physicians. Dr. Anegawa is also a Fellow of the American College of Physicians.
In addition to her role at Oahu Spine and Rehab, Dr. Anegawa helps shape education for the next generation of physicians as the Internal Medicine Clerkship Director for University of Hawaii’s medical students. She has won numerous teaching awards including Most Inspiring Faculty Member, the Gold Humanism Society Faculty Award, and the Kaiser Foundation Outstanding Clinical Teacher Award. Dr. Anegawa is also the founder of OSR’s new Weight Management Division.
Emily Brewer FNP-C
After completing her bachelor’s degree in nursing at Texas Tech University, Emily moved to Hawaii in 2007. Emily then went on a medical relief mission in Haiti that transformed her life and made her want to be able to help even more people, which she felt she could do best as a Nurse Practitioner. Always hard working and dedicated, Emily graduated Hawaii Pacific University’s Nurse Practitioner program as the Class Valedictorian. As a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner, she is passionate about holistic care of her patients. Emily’s interest in physical medicine began at an early age and continued through her college years running track and playing volleyball for Texas Tech University. Emily enjoys educating her patients on the role of exercise in preventative health care, and she continues to have a passion for treating acute and chronic injuries to help keep her patients active.
Emily also has a strong interest in women’s health and wellness. She is the secretary for the Hawaii Association of Nurse Practitioners and a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. Emily enjoys food, travel, and exercise, especially if it is in the Hawaiian sun.
Kenneth S. Machado, DC, QME
Dr. Machado graduated from Cleveland College of Chiropractic, Los Angeles, CA in 1985. After owning and operating his own practice in Diamond Bar, CA for over 20 years, he moved to Oahu in 2006. He is also a licensed respiratory therapist and has been practicing at Hawaii Medical Center prior to joining the OSR team. His healthcare experience and caring attitude make him an important part of your care team.
Jennyzen C. Santiago, PT, MPT
Jennyzen C. Santiago, PT, MPT received her BS in Psychology from the University of California, Davis with an emphasis in Biology, and her Master of Physical Therapy from California State University, Long Beach. Jennyzen is experienced in caring for patients of all ages, with various orthopedic and sports related injuries. Through her skilled administration of manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and functional mobility training, Jennyzen is a valuable member of the OSR team. In her free time she enjoys working out, yoga and surfing the north shore.
Ruth Bailey, DPT
Ruth Bailey is a recent transplant to Hawaii, having spent her whole life up to this year living in Tennessee. She received her B.S. in Exercise Science with a minor in Nutrition and Food Science from East Tennessee State University. She then continued at ETSU to complete her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in December, 2015. Since then, she has successfully passed the Physical Therapy Licensing Boards Exam and spent some time assistant teaching with the ETSU DPT program. She and her husband, James, moved to Oahu in June, 2016 and have so far enjoyed spending their free time exploring the islands many hiking trails and beaches, as well as rock climbing. She also has a special love for running and enjoys working with runners to help them with their running form and training programs.
Regina Lavelle M.S., D.Ac.
Regina Lavelle graduated in 1990 from Long Island University with a B.S. in health science and M.S. in physical therapy and from the Oriental Medical Institute in 1998 for Acupuncture. She is also certified in Emotional Freedom Technique. She has past experience in pain management, home health, outpatient and is also a certified aquatic therapist. Regina feels privileged to work directly with people and help them in relieving their pain. She is inspired daily by the people and places of Hawaii. Her aim is to assist individuals in finding their own center of serenity using movement therapy and manual feedback.
