After completing her bachelor’s degree in nursing at Texas Tech University, Emily moved to Hawaii in 2007. Emily then went on a medical relief mission in Haiti that transformed her life and made her want to be able to help even more people, which she felt she could do best as a Nurse Practitioner. Always hard working and dedicated, Emily graduated Hawaii Pacific University’s Nurse Practitioner program as the Class Valedictorian. As a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner, she is passionate about holistic care of her patients. Emily’s interest in physical medicine began at an early age and continued through her college years running track and playing volleyball for Texas Tech University. Emily enjoys educating her patients on the role of exercise in preventative health care, and she continues to have a passion for treating acute and chronic injuries to help keep her patients active.
Emily also has a strong interest in women’s health and wellness. She is the secretary for the Hawaii Association of Nurse Practitioners and a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. Emily enjoys food, travel, and exercise, especially if it is in the Hawaiian sun.
Dr. Machado graduated Summa Cum Laude from Cleveland College of Chiropractic, Los Angeles, CA in 1985 and was Class Valedictorian. After owning and operating his own practice in Diamond Bar, CA for over 20 years, he moved to Oahu in 2006. While In California, he was also a Qualified Medical Evaluator (QMR) for the State of California Workers Compensation System. He was a licensed respiratory therapist and had been practicing at Hawaii Medical Center prior to joining the OSR team. His healthcare experience and caring attitude make him an important part of your care team.
Dr. Mary Adey was born and raised in Minnesota. After receiving her undergraduate degree in Biology, she went on to Chiropractic school at Northwestern Health Sciences University in Minnesota. Dr. Adey is passionate about treating the body as a whole and inspiring people of all ages to live a healthy lifestyle. She has a special interest in women’s health as well as pediatrics. With that, her goal is to help people get well and inspire them to make healthy lifestyle choices to stay well. In her free time, Dr. Adey enjoys spending time with her husband, 4 year old daughter and dog.
Jennyzen C. Santiago, PT, MPT received her BS in Psychology from the University of California, Davis with an emphasis in Biology, and her Master of Physical Therapy from California State University, Long Beach. Jennyzen is experienced in caring for patients of all ages, with various orthopedic and sports related injuries. Through her skilled administration of manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and functional mobility training, Jennyzen is a valuable member of the OSR team. In her free time she enjoys working out, yoga and surfing the north shore.
Sara Suddes, PT, DPT, received a B.S. in Communications and a B.A. in Psychology from Boston University. She received her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of California, San Francisco. After 10 years in the Bay Area, Sara saw the need and benefits of integrated medicine in Hawaii. She joined Oahu Spine and Rehab with the goal of getting her patients back to doing what they love most – living life happy and healthy! In her free time, Sara enjoys writing, hiking, biking, and exploring her new home.
Adam Taylor, PT, DPT, CSCS received his Bachelors of Science in Exercise Science from The University of Mississippi. After joining the U.S. Army as an Officer, he received his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Baylor University. His passion for Physical Therapy grew as he worked with wounded warriors, amputees and deployed servicemembers in the Middle East. Adam’s career grew to include Sports Medicine, Strength and Conditioning, and Orthopedic Physical Therapy. In his personal time, Adam enjoys spending time with his Ohana, helping his Church Family, physique training and fabricating custom vehicles.
