Answers to some of your most frequently asked questions are below!
What can I expect on the first visit?
When you make your appointment with our office you will be directed to the forms on our website available for you to fill out and bring along with you. If you choose to fill out the paperwork in-office you will need a small amount of time to complete everything. Next, you will meet with one of our doctors who will thoroughly discuss your health, your history, and your symptoms with you. Through this consultation along with diagnostic testing (when necessary) we will determine the best treatment plan uniquely designed for your needs. Unless the severity of the situation (ailment, injury) dictates the need for immediate treatment; most patients will begin treatment on their second visit to the office. This provides us with the time to consult with the physicians, therapists, and medical professionals on our staff to best serve your healthcare needs.
What is integrated healthcare and why is it best for me?
We combine Chiropractic, Physical Therapy, state-of-art diagnostics, and therapeutic massage to customize a treatment plan that responds to your specific condition. We do not believe there is a one-size-fits-all approach to healthcare, and through our integrated therapies we aim to relieve your pain, correct the problem, strengthen the foundation of health, and maintain your wellness.
How long will it take to complete my treatment plan?
Because treatment is individualized this answer depends on many factors: What is the severity of the aliment or injury? What is the age and general health of the patient? Is the patient complying with the in-office treatment plan and following the at-home exercise plan prescribed? Taking all of these elements into consideration we can assure that the integrated healthcare we provide at OSR will expedite your recovery over any unilateral treatment plan.
What is the cost of treatment?
Generally the initial consultation is performed free-of-charge, but multiple factors will influence the cost of your treatment plan. If treatment begins on the first visit it is not considered part of the free consultation. Cost will vary depending on the length of treatment, the use of diagnostic testing including x-rays, and insurance coverage of the treatments. Please discuss your coverage with your insurance provider.
Is it difficult to get an appointment at Oahu Spine & Rehab?
We understand that when you are in pain you need help immediately, so we make every effort to see new patients the same day that they call. Once you begin your treatment plan we will work with you to schedule appointments that accommodate your busy life. We encourage patients to return to treatment at regular intervals so that their plan is maintained and a routine can be established, but we are flexible when scheduling changes are necessary.
